Geoff JenkinsJenkins got a standing ovation today when he came to bat in the second inning of todays Brewers - Phillies baseball game.

Geoff played 10 years for the Brewers, and finished second on the home run list for Milwaukee, but  got frustrating in his final years with his frequent strikeouts and lack of clutch hitting.

However, Jenkins always tried his hardest and didn't put the blame on anyone else for his shortcomings, and was a bright light in a pretty dark time of Brewers baseball. (Him and John Jaha anyway.)

I'm glad Brewers fans showed Geoff some respect and got off their seats. I'm sure he appreciates it.

Oh, Jenkins flied out to right his first time up, but Fielder hit his second dinger of the year.

Geoff, despite a weird way of spelling his name, was always good for the Brewers. He made a typical Jenkins catch in last night's game. It's much more enjoyable when he does it for us, not against us.

Along with the sweet catch Jenkins also did what he did best for us last year, not hit.
