Joe Inglett was signed off waivers today from Texas. In 211 lifetime games he has

be this year's Lopez/Kapler find. Now sign Johnny Damon for 3 million or so and trade
hart for some good stuff.

The new/old Brewer Doug Davis' facial hair is sweat. The guy we originally traded
him away for had one too, but Eric Estrada's looked sloppy compared to Davis' well
groomed flavor saver. Not only do I like his aesthetically pleasing profile but I
believe he can pitch better than the pile of crap 2-5 pitchers we had to sit through
last year. Thanks DM

I'm sorry that should read Corey Hart is going to arbitration with the Brewers. He's
asking for a raise of about a half million dollars over what he made last year. You
have to love baseball, or any major sport for that matter. You can totally not live
up to expectations while getting paid a ton of money to play a game and fully expect
to receive a nice bump in salary.

The Brewers are way more than one pitcher away from making the playoffs this season.
There is no CC that can help us and we don't have a huge surplus of great young talent
to be dipping into anymore to rent a guy like Washburn for a couple months. I say
keep the core together and start giving up some guys for minor league talent. Sell
Hardy, Hart, Hall (if anyone would take him). Maybe even Sup or Parra if there
would be any takers. Let's get some young guys up and experienced for next year. This
season is done.

Part of what makes this Brewers team so exciting to watch this year is that even when
they loose, they are still a good team.

They lost to the Braves last night, and after they lost I kept thinking, "Ahh, they
should have won that game." It seems like most of their losses this year have been
like that, bad play or errors get them the loss, not getting overpowered by an opponent.

The only team that really looked like they were just better on the field were the
Twins, and the Twins were just playing great baseball at the time.

I'm just getting my tubed meats par-boiled and Bloody Mary fixings together. Gotta
get the grill in the truck (charcoal this year, and I will remember all the parts).
Three layers of Brewer shirts laundered and ready to accept whatever I can dish out..
All portable tables and chairs were dusted off yesterday as I cracked a bottle of
Lite in anticipation of this great day. Plates, forks, knives, napkins, beer, onions,
mustard, ketchup, beer, utensils, scooter, beer, helmet, garbage bags, and band-aids.
All check. Oh yeah and Kraut, can't forget the Kraut. It's going to be a bit chilly,
but a few years back I went to an opening day when it was snowing sideways, so this
should feel like Miami. Sunglasses, check. Tunes, check. Bad Truck stereo, check.
Oh, and we get to see a baseball game too.........cool.
